Our Story

A Place Made for Slowing Down

Domus Tempus — Latin for "house of time" — was born from a simple idea: that the best moments happen when you give people room to breathe. Our family purchased this piece of Limpopo farmland with the dream of creating a sanctuary where busy lives can pause and nature takes centre stage.

Tucked away just 10 kilometres outside Tzaneen off the R71, our property sits amid old and large mango and litchi orchards. The air is cleaner here, the nights are quieter, and the stars come out like nowhere else. Whether you arrive for one night or a whole week, we want you to leave feeling restored.

Everything we do — from our self-sufficient, off-grid setup to keeping the bush camp wild and unspoiled — reflects our deep respect for the land. We love sharing this raw landscape with you, which means keeping things simple: expect reliable MTN signal and Wi-Fi to stay connected, but no TVs. To keep the camp entirely untouched, there are no ablution blocks, so please bring your own mobile camp shower and porta-potty.

What Our Visitors Say

Don't just take our word for it — hear from families and travelers who've experienced the tranquility of Domus Tempus firsthand.

"
We had the most incredible family getaway. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, and the kids absolutely loved running around the orchard. Waking up to birdsong instead of traffic was pure bliss.

Perfect stopover before entering Kruger. The location is ideal — quiet enough to rest properly but close enough to the park gates. The bush camping site felt wonderfully private and the shared bathrooms were always clean.

I came here solo to disconnect and it was exactly what I needed. The solar setup means there's no generator noise — just silence and the occasional guinea fowl call. Already planning my next visit. Truly five-star value.
